Music: Brighter Days - Times I Felt Your Presence https://brighterdayscz.bandcamp.com facebook: BrighterDaysCZ (ENG) (Better translation will be here soon) Hey! We recently passed our first year of operation (you can find a summary of it below). We want to thank you all with all our might for helping us, acting with us, just for being there. The stop stands and proudly looks ahead. If you want to support us - we are launching profiles on portals: https://buycoffee.to/ocsk-postoj - Where you can donate a brick for our development in the form of a symbolic coffee. https://opencollective.com/ocsk-postoj - Where you can support us on a grassroots non-commercial portal. It is also possible to set up recurring donations that would provide us with ongoing support. Thank you! 1 Year of the Bottom-up Social and Cultural Center Standstill: A free space filled with grassroots art, culture AND social activities, located in a former railroad house in Wroclaw - Kuźniki. Created collectively - striving for non-hierarchy, equality AND freedom. We survived and rebuilt ourselves after two fascist attacks, destroying the space and health of people in the collective. This would not have been possible without local and international material support and mutual aid. Thank you! We operated most of the year without grid power, using "off grid" technology. We organized 50 open events. 90 music projects have played with us, most of them foreign. Some from such distant places as Mexico, Colombia, Serbia, Greece, Sardinia, Kurdistan. We held 44 workshops/lectures, and most of them were about emotional work (mental health, communication). We did 18 free events. While the rest of the events had the option of paying a smaller price (which allowed us to reach more people with culture and music). In between the open events we held about 100 closed meetings of various collectives. We had more than 100 music rehearsals, closed artistic, cultural and relaxation meetings. In total, various people worked more than 3,000h hours of grassroots and volunteer physical labor in renovating, preparing, cleaning and physically taking care of the space, emotional labor in taking care of collectives and relationships and contacts, artistic and intellectual labor in organizing, designing and preparing events. On top of that, we managed to put up a vegetable garden, salvage a lot of discarded flowers and plants and objects - a huge part of the renovation and organization of the space was done upcycling/recycling. Plus Bookcrosing, an art gallery "on the palisade" and much more. All this, without alcohol or drugs. Help us keep going, act with us: The stop is open and eager for new initiatives, people, activities. write to: ocsk-postoj@riseup.net support us materially: https://buycoffee.to/ocsk-postoj https://opencollective.com/ocsk-postoj
